i realised this blog wouldnt be complete without the very first blog post from Aine Teahan on her blog at wwww.andbabymakesthree.ie<\/a><\/p>\n

So for weeks now I\u2019ve been thinking about how we\u00a0could make a stand in support of the Marriage Equality Referendum on May 22nd. Lots of ideas popped into my head but none of them felt like they would make a big enough impact or have a far enough reach. So lying in bed the other night a very simple idea came into my head. How about starting a social media campaign with the hashtag #LoveIsLoveIreland and get people to post images of themselves in support of the Marriage Equality Referendum and to encourage people to go out on May 22nd and vote?<\/p>\n

Why #LoveIsLove? We believe that everyone should have the right to love whomsoever they wish regardless of sexuality and they should be able to proclaim that love freely.<\/h1>\n

The words \u2018love is love\u2019 have been going round in my head for months\u00a0and they seemed like the perfect words to use for this campaign. There are lots of images out there with the hashtag \u2018LoveIsLove\u2019 but when I searched for #LoveIsLoveIreland there was nothing out there \u2013 absolutely nothing! So I reckon it\u2019s the perfect tag to keep track of all the people and images in support of the Marriage Equality referendum across the various social media platforms.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s so simple \u2013 images are so powerful and it will only take a few seconds to do! You don\u2019t even have to take a new photo, you can use an existing one \u2013 just be sure that when you post it you tag it with #LoveIsLoveIreland, #MarRef and #VoteYes<\/p>\n

  1. Post an image\u00a0of what love means to you. (New or old image doesn\u2019t matter)<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Tag your image with #LoveIsLoveIreland and #MarRef \u00a0#VoteYes<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Declare \u201cI support a Yes vote in the Marriage Equality Referendum on May 22nd\u201d.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Nominate 3 friends to do the same to keep the awareness going (on Facebook & Instagram). Twitter & Pinterest just post your image tagged as above.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    So whether you\u2019re on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other platform, it doesn\u2019t matter just get those images out there! Also it doesn\u2019t matter if you\u2019re in Dublin, Hong Kong, Australia or anywhere else in the world \u2013 Ireland & this referendum need your support. Let\u2019s help by raising awareness and by encouraging everyone who is eligible to vote to get out and vote!<\/p>\n

    So here it is \u2013 the first image of the #LoveIsLoveIreland campaign \u2013 our family in support of the Marriage Equality referendum on May 22nd 2015. Let\u2019s help create an inclusive society for our children.<\/p>\n

    If you have the right to vote please use it.<\/p>\n
